Use Blog.com.mt with your Domain

There are two ways you can use Blog.com.mt with your own personal domain. If you already own a domain [www.yourname.com] you can still use our system to get a blog up and running on your domain. Here’s how it should be done.

Option 1 - Simple & Effective

First of all you have to buy the domain (if you don’t already own one).
Next you have to log in your registrar’s panel and find were you can update the Nameservers for the domain.
Next you have to set the Nameservers as shown in the screenshot below.

Nameserver 1: NS1.BLOG.COM.MT & Nameserver 2 : NS2.BLOG.COM.MT
You are nearly done! The last step is to fill the form below and allow a maximum of 48hrs for the settings to be applied.

Note that with this option you won’t be able to set up emails for your domain! If you really need another email account you have to follow the Advanced Settings below.

Option 2 - Advanced Settings

Since you are an advanced user you should already have a domain by now
Login into your administation panel in your registrar’s website
Locate DNS settings for your domain
There you should find CNAMES (Aliases)
You have to setup a CNAME entry: Host: www which Points To: blog.com.mt as shown in the screenshot below.

You are nearly done! The last step is to fill the form below and allow a maximum of 48hrs for the settings to be applied.
